Milan make Johansen approach

AC Milan have made an enquiry into the availability of Fulham midfielder Stefan Johansen, according to Sky in Italy.

Johansen, 27, was a key player in Slavisa Jokanovic’s promotion-winning team at Fulham last year, but has only started four Premier League matches this season.

The Norway captain has seen new signings Jean Michael Seri, Andre Frank Zambo-Anguissa and Calum Chambers play ahead of him as the Whites have struggled at the foot of the table.

Johansen is out of contract in the summer so could sign a pre-contract agreement with a non-English club this month.

Milan are looking at the UK market during the January transfer window and Sky in Italy reported earlier this week that they have shown an interest in Southampton and Italy striker Manolo Gabbiadini.

Fulham mull Mussachio move

Matteo Musacchio’s impressive Serie A form has reportedly caught the eye of Premier League duo Fulham and Watford.

There were big things expected of Fulham when they spent over £100 million in preparation for life back in the Premier League. But The Cottagers’ shoddy defence has so far proved to be the undoing of Slavisa Jokanovic’s side.

The 5-1 home defeat to Arsenal on Sunday means Fulham have conceded more goals (21) than any other team in the top flight as it stands. So no wonder the Londoners are already planning to bring a new centre-back to Craven Cottage in Janaury.

According to Calciomercato, Fulham are keen to sign AC Milan defender Matteo Musacchio.

This is not the first time Fulham have been linked with the Argentine, Giancluca Di Marzio claiming in June that they’d made a bid for a player who moved to the San Siro from Villarreal in 2017 for £16 million.

Calciomercato adds that Watford are keen too. Javi Gracia’s side have been fairly solid in an impressive start to the season but that unravelled in the humiliating 4-0 home defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday with Christian Kabasele sent off in the first-half.

Musacchio endured a difficult debut season in Italy but has stepped up in recent weeks, starting all of their seven league games and impressing under Gennaro Gattuso.

Emmanuelson eyeing Milan return

Urby Emmanuelson has told a Dutch football magazine that he wants to use his loan spell at Fulham to remind AC Milan of what they are missing.

Emmanuelson joined Fulham from the Italian giants on transfer deadline and impressed during his debut as a second half substitute against Manchester United last weekend. The Dutch international has already been clear in confirming that he sees his long term future at the San Siro and he hopes to impress his parent club during his time in the Premier League.

It is an excellent choice for now and after this season, I still have one year left on my contract at Milan. Now I need to show Milan and other clubs what I can do, so it is an important period.

Fulham Set To Capture Milan Man Urby On Loan

Reports are arising this evening strongly linking Milan utility man Urby Emanuelson with a temporary move to Fulham brokered by Jol’s agent Mino Raiola. Dutch football journalist Willem Vissers tweeted that he had been told by Raiola Milan has agreed to loan Emanuelson to Fulham for 5 months, on top of Sky Italia’s reports of the deals. Emanuelson, 26, is familiar with Martin Jol, enjoying arguably the form of his career while they were together at Ajax, and would represent excellent business with his athleticism and skill his strongest assets.
