We’d better hold fire on welcome Stefano Okaka to Fulham. Roma, the player and Roy Hodgson are all keen to bring him in on loan but a different agent to the first one quote in the initial batch of stories says he’s not interested in a temporary transfer.
No, we do not agree. I do not want to be rude to the club, God forbid, but simply because we’ve already had the experience of Brescia. When a player is not owned by you, you do not make it a priority to improve him.
I’m confused. Previous stories had painted a very positive picture. And this agent, Giovanni Ferro, is a little quick on the draw to me. How does he know Hodgson wouldn’t improve Okaka? If the player did well, Fulham would be keen to sign him and it looks like his future at Roma is pretty bleak. I hope this doesn’t turn into one of those protracted transfer sagas, especially after Bobby Zamora’s injury last night.
Read elsewhere that Kamara will be back in contention in a couple of weeks which is a big relief. But with Zamo out, AJ offering no more than a willing runner and Nevland not a starting forward we badly need another option up front or, dare I say it, the wheels could come off what has again been a very good season…
Or alternatively, Roy goes into the market for a couple of forwards, somewhat unexpectedly. Think AJ can offer more than you suggest, he’s been out for a while and has yet to play 90 minutes.
