Fulham’s under 21s made a superb start to their Premier League 2 campaign by thrashing Reading 5-1 at Bearwood Park this afternoon.
Kristian Sekularac put the Whites ahead when he converted a ball from Ollie Gofford and the Swiss youth international then finished off an outstanding fourteen-pass move by finding the far corner with a lovely finish from the edge of the area after converting a cross from Josh King.
Callum Osmand followed up his fine goal at Shrewsbury Town in the Football League Trophy in midweek with a brace before half-time to put Hayden Mullins’ men in complete control. Louie Holzman pulled a goal back for the Royals six minutes after the break before Sekularac spurned a great opportunity to bring up a hat-trick from the penalty spot just before the hour.
Winger Terrell Works did finish off the scoring with a fifth deep into stoppage time having by set up by substitute Chibby Nwoko.
