Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha has been given special dispensation to leave the Portuguese international camp early after playing in the 5-2 win over Sweden in Guimaraes on Thursday.

Palhinha played the full ninety minutes and was released from the second half of the camp by national team head coach Roberto Martinez alongside Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias, Nelson Semedo, Toti Gomes, Rafael Leao and Gonçalo Ramos.

The decision should give the midfielder time to recover ahead of Fulham’s trip to Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield United next Saturday.
