Fulham defender Luc de Fougerolles won his first senior international cap this evening as he helped Canada qualify for the Copa America.

The 18 year-old came on as a second half substitute as the Canadians beat Trinidad and Tobago 2-0 in a play-off in Texas thanks to goals from Cyle Larin and Jacob Shaffelburg. Canada, one of six guest nations to feature in this summer’s Copa which will be played in the United States, will play Argentina, Peru and Chile in Group An of the prestigious tournament.
