Fulham have resurrected their interest in Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike as a deadline alternative to Armando Broja, according to the Daily Mail.

The Cottagers are not willing to meet Chelsea’s demand for loan fee of £5m for Broja and are busy hammering out a deal to take the French under-20 international to Craven Cottage instead. Ekitike, who has been on Fulham’s radar for several seasons, burst on the French scene by scoring eleven times in 26 appearances for Reims before signing for Paris Saint-Germain on loan with an obligation to buy. He helped PSG win Ligue 1, scoring four goals and adding four assists, but has made only one league appearance this term.

PSG, who would not require a loan fee, are seeking a destination for one of their prized assets to play regularly for the remainder of the season and Ekitike has emerged as a plausible option for Silva, who came close to green-lighting a permanent move for the pacey striker last summer. He has interest from a number of Bundesliga clubs but would likely play more regularly at Craven Cottage given the hamstring injury suffered by Raul Jimenez in midweek.
