Fulham forward Carlos Vinicius is ‘close to becoming a Bahia player,’ according to reports from various Brazilian outlets.

The Brazilian press report that Bahia, who have been in intensive negotiations with the Cottagers over the striker’s future for much of the past month, have reached agreement with Fulham over a permanent deal. The stories also suggest that Vinicius could make his final appearance for the Whites in tonight’s FA Cup third round tie with Rotherham United at Craven Cottage.

The 28 year-old has scored seven goals in 48 games for Fulham since signing from Benfica in September 2022. He famously headed the home his first goal for the Whites against Chelsea last January to seal Fulham’s first SW6 derby win since March 2006.
