Fulham forward Carlos Vinicius is ‘close to becoming a Bahia player,’ according to reports from various Brazilian outlets.
The Brazilian press report that Bahia, who have been in intensive negotiations with the Cottagers over the striker’s future for much of the past month, have reached agreement with Fulham over a permanent deal. The stories also suggest that Vinicius could make his final appearance for the Whites in tonight’s FA Cup third round tie with Rotherham United at Craven Cottage.
The 28 year-old has scored seven goals in 48 games for Fulham since signing from Benfica in September 2022. He famously headed the home his first goal for the Whites against Chelsea last January to seal Fulham’s first SW6 derby win since March 2006.
Assume if both Vinicius and Muniz go we have a replacement plan.
We seem already a little light on wing options so I’d hope activity is focused on our front line.
Whilst I feel we have progressively built a stronger squad the overall age profile is worrying.
I think vinicilus and Muniz will depart this window, and the club will bring in a striker and a winger !!!.
I’ve no faith in TK to find acceptable replacement(s) this T/W.
Recall Stansfield and keep him. That’s one move that’s easy and would strengthen the squad. He’s better than Muniz at striker and more than serviceable out wide.
I agree with Martin – no faith in the idiot boy Khan to do what’s necessary. It would interfere with his ‘other interests’ to put that much effort into us
Thank God he’s nearly gone. Muniz and Vinicius are simply not Premier League players. At times tonight I actually felt sorry for them for how crap they truly were.
I agree Vinicius and Muniz are not going enough and why is TK taking so long to replace Mitro? Also we were led to believe Andre was a done deal so why haven’t we signed him I expect he will now move elsewhere as TK won’t pay the asking price. Same old same old.
