Promising Fulham midfielder Luke Harris has been nominated for the PL2 player of the month award for December.

The Welsh under-21 international scored once and notched up a pair of assists during the league action last month and this honour is the talented youngster’s third such nomination since he moved up from the under-18 level at Motspur Park. Harris made one and scored another in the 3-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion at the start of December, before setting up Kristian Ĺ ekularac to secure a crucial point at Aston Villa when Hayden Mullins’ men had been reduced to ten men.

Harris is up against Norwich City’s Kenneth Abo, Ryan Bartley of Derby County, Wolves centre back Justin Hubner, West Ham striker Callum Marshall, Everton’s attacker Francis Okoronkwo and the Norwich goalkeeper Vicente Reyes, who were all nominated by their opposing coaches after excellent performances last month. The attacking midfielder joined Exeter City on loan and has gone straight into Gary Caldwell’s squad for the Grecians’ game against Carlisle United tomorrow afternoon.
