Bernd Leno has signed a new four-year contract with Fulham, the club have announced this evening.

The German international, who signed for the Whites from London for an incredible initial £3m last summer, and helped Marco Silva’s side finish ten on their return to the top flight last term has put pen to paper on a new deal that keeps him with the Cottagers until at least 2027. Fulham have an option to extend the contract by a further.

Leno, who has kept thirteen clean sheets in 57 games for Fulham, told FFCTV tonight:

I found out about the offer from the club during the last international break, and it didn’t take much time because I think all parties were very comfortable with it. I said straightaway that I want to stay here even longer, so I’m very happy about that, and about the long-term plans of the club.

I feel there are still a lot of good years to come from me, and hopefully I can give something back to the club, to the fans, to the team, to everyone at the club, and we can be even more successful.”
