Bernd Leno has signed a new four-year contract with Fulham, the club have announced this evening.
The German international, who signed for the Whites from London for an incredible initial £3m last summer, and helped Marco Silva’s side finish ten on their return to the top flight last term has put pen to paper on a new deal that keeps him with the Cottagers until at least 2027. Fulham have an option to extend the contract by a further.
Leno, who has kept thirteen clean sheets in 57 games for Fulham, told FFCTV tonight:
I found out about the offer from the club during the last international break, and it didn’t take much time because I think all parties were very comfortable with it. I said straightaway that I want to stay here even longer, so I’m very happy about that, and about the long-term plans of the club.
I feel there are still a lot of good years to come from me, and hopefully I can give something back to the club, to the fans, to the team, to everyone at the club, and we can be even more successful.”
Good .Now extend Reid and Tete contract !!!
Absolutely great news. Made my day.
Top keeper, we need to work on offering a good deal to Tosin so that he could hopefully stay, I believe he is better than Diop. Also Tete should be offered a good deal. Hopefully in January we can also sign two quality players, perhaps a young powerful striker and a solid midfielder that could replace Pahlinha since it is a given that he is leaving even though he signed a new contract.
Arsenal’s loss is our gain. How much did they pay for Raya?
