Nottingham Forest and Everton are now challenging Fulham with interest in signing the Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to the Evening Standard.
The England international still favours a move to Craven Cottage but Fulham remain unwilling to pay Chelsea’s £8m asking price with the 22 year-old’s Stamford Bridge contract expiring at the end of the season. The two clubs have held negotiations throughout the summer and a deal was believed to be close last week – but the Whites are determined to not pay over the odds for the Wandsworth-born wide man who is not in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans.
Everton are monitoring developments closely as former Fulham target Demarai Gray edges closer to a move to Saudi Arabia whilst Forest, who are reportedly near to striking a deal with another potential Whites signing in Gonzalo Montiel, are also eager to try and beat the Cottagers to Hudson-Odoi’s signature.
For heavens sake stop quibbling in the current market it is not expensive. He wants to join us so get the deal done before another club steals him from under our noises. Irt time for action Mr Khan otherwise we will lose Marco and be certain relegation candidates. The squad is nowhere strong enough to survive if we get a couple of injuries
I agree John, get it done, 8m for a young player who wants to come here is nothing these days. If Marco wants him do it now! This next 11 – 12 days will determine the future of this club for years to come! Whether we take the next step or remain a yo-yo club. In addition we need another wide attacker, at least two more fullbacks, and a center forward, I like Orban, Balogun, and Beto of the ones I have seen play.
If we don’t get the transfers sorted there’s know grantee . Will even be a yo yo club. Then your see how good it was winning at Wembley Championship trophy . Been fan since 1960 never had it so good MAF and Khans done us proud. Hope we’re not going to throw it away after great year in Premiership
Words fail me. Here is a young player with possible great potential, who has indicated we are his first choice. Yet we are are trying to negotiate a lower fee. If it is 8 million being asked, then we should snap him up now before he is punched by another club willing to pay a not unreasonable fee. We will end up in a last day panic and get second or third choice players who probably apart from numbers will add very little to the first team
We have been quibbleing over the 8m fee all of this window and still doing so now either sign him now or someone else will this is yet another example of how useless TK is.
An extra 2million to get someone young, English and keen on us…..I mean come on is this a joke? He’s reasonably priced for sure. Utterly ridiculous. Being on the other side of the negotiating table to Fulham must be so frustrating. We just appear pathetic. Not ‘tough negotiatiors’. More like unreasonable clowns. Sooner or later all this incompetence is going to cost us….it feels like that day is coming unless there’s a change in attitude
Dear TK
Please read what your loyal supporters are saying, you increased your season tickets already in a cost of living crisis, and reportedly brought in just over 1m extra revenue, this is all you supposedly need to get the deal done, what have you done with this 1m? Improved the concession stands and installed some extra tv’s for what? For us to drown our sorrows in extra comfort? GET business done, before too late. You run the risk of letting our rivals and potential relegation candidates improving theirs squads, and what if they start improving them? You did well holding out for a better deal for a want away striker, now do something with the money. Stop going to blow the budget on 1 major signing who will end up going to a top six club anyway, improve us to try and make us a top six club. You must be in the country to oversea your WWE wanna be project, but turn some attention to this project I and others urge you, to GET IT DONE or step away and appoint a DOF who might actually care. Can you understand why Marco has not signed a new deal? I do he needs backing and backing is not what he is getting, please don’t leave it till the last day of the window to pick up bargains what others have left on the shelf, it just does not work.
Honestly this is becoming Laughable
if we are all getting frustrated with just gossip about players not coming in
the how hacked off must Marco Silva be !!
im now worried Marco going to leave as well
surely the club looked at the bench saturday and Mbabu and Muniz on it , if we do not get 5-6 quality players in its going to be a long season
