Fulham have been given a boost in their pursuit of Brazilian international Fred after Manchester United put the midfielder on the transfer list.

The Daily Telegraph reports this evening that United are eager to cash in on Fulham’s interest in the 30 year-old, who is about to enter the final year of his contract at Old Trafford. Jason Burt reveals that the Red Devils are looking for around £20m. Fred has made 213 appearances, scoring fourteen goals, over five seasons since he moved to Manchester from Shakhtar Donetsk for around £47m.

Silva was spotted having a conversation with the former Internacional midfielder following Fulham’s defeat at Old Trafford on the final day of the season, when the Brazilian – who has won 32 senior caps for his country – set up the winner for Bruno Fernandes.
