Terrible news this morning from Bolton for Marlon Fossey. The American full back, who has been in superb form during his loan spell, will require surgery having torn his meniscus during last weekend’s defeat by Plymouth Argyle and will be out for the remainder of the season.
Fossey, who has been so unlucky with knee injuries during his time at Fulham, made sixteen appearances on loan with Bolton – memorably scoring a brilliant first senior goal in their win at Oxford United. He will return to London for treatment and thus will play no part in Wanderers’ push for a League One play-off place.
