Fulham are among a number of English clubs interested in signing the Philadelphia Union left back Kai Wagner, according to the Daily Mail.

Brentford have submitted a formal enquiry to the MLS side about their German defender, whilst Watford, West Ham United and Fulham are known to have been tracking the 24 year-old. Wagner, who helped the Union win the Supporters’ Shield in 2020, was named in the MLS All Star side last August in recognition of his consistent displays. He has spent almost three years with Philadelphia, making 91 first-team appearances and scoring four goals.

Wagner started his senior career with SSV Ulm 1846, whom he helped win the German fifth-tier title in 2016 before sealing a move to Schalke’s second string. He has also represented Wurzburger Kickers and has eleven months to go on his current Union contract, with the MLS franchise holding a further year’s option.
