Marco Silva has been named the Championship manager of the month for August following Fulham’s unbeaten start to the new season.

The Portuguese head coach has guided the Whites to thirteen points out of a possible fifteen and the top of the table as they scored fifteen goals in five matches. Silva beat off competition from West Brom’s Valerian Ismael, Huddersfield Town head coach Carlos Corberan and QPR boss Mark Warburton to win the award.

Silva said:

“I’m pleased to receive the award for August, which is recognition for the collective work carried out by all of us at the club. My staff, the players and everyone that works at Fulham FC have all put in a lot of effort. This is only the start of the campaign with still a lot of hard work ahead.”
