Sheyi Ojo says Fulham are playing at ‘a Premier League level’ and believes the Whites can win automatic promotion from the Championship.

The Liverpool loanee made his return to Slavisa Jokanovic’s starting line-up in last night’s 3-0 win over fellow promotion contenders Sheffield United – making his first start for Fulham since January. Ojo told GetWestLondon’s Ryan O’Donovan that the quality of Fulham’s football was one of the reasons he opted to make the move to the capital in August:

I’ve always said from the minute I came that Fulham are the best team, the football that they play, Fulham are the best team in the league. That was one of the reasons I wanted to come and be a part of it and I think we’re proving to everyone we are Premier League level and hopefully we can get promoted.

The winger feels Fulham could pip Cardiff to that second automatic promotion spot if they can keep their incredible unbeaten run going.

It’s definitely a possibility. We can’t keep too far ahead we just have to keep focusing on ourselves and if we keep doing that I’m sure we’ll get there.

Ojo hailed the impact of January arrivals Matt Targett and Aleksandr Mitrovic, whose two first-half strikes against the Blades took his tally to five goals in his last four appearances.

They’ve been massive (the new signings), obviously Matt Targett has helped the defence be more solid and Aleks has come in and got some goals already so he’s proving to be a great addition to the squad. Everyone is pulling their weight to impact in the squad and hopefully we can keep pushing.
