Former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher says Fulham defender Richard Stearman shouldn’t have been sent off against Middlesbrough on Saturday.
With Boro striker Jordan Rhodes in his own half at the time of the offence, Gallagher argued on Sky Sports News this morning that referee Craig Breakspear was incorrect to dismiss Stearman for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity.
Fulham lost to two early Boro goals at Craven Cottage and may now have to do without Stearman for as many as three matches.
