Winger Patrick Roberts had been whispered about in the corridors of Motspur Park and beyond as one of English football’s next big things long before he stepped up off the bench at Manchester City to make his Fulham debut in March 2014. The England youth international never quite got a regular run in the Fulham side, used predominantly as a substitute by both Felix Magath and Kit Symons, but showed enough potential to secure a big money move to Manchester City in the summer of 2015.
