Fulham have confirmed this morning that Bryan Ruiz has joined PSV Eindhoven on loan until the end of the season.

Rene Meulensteen had allowed the Costa Rican international to talk to a number of overseas clubs as Ruiz did not feature in his plans as Fulham attempt to fight off relegation from the Premier League. The former FC Twente midfielder scored just once, as a substitute against Cardiff, in fourteen appearances for the club this season and was keen to gain regular first-team football with the World Cup in Brazil coming up in the summer.

Ruiz, a big-money signing during Martin Jol’s tenure, had felt the brunt of some Fulham fans frustration this season, with his last appearance for the club coming in the 6-0 thrashing at Hull back in December.
