Scott Parker is heading to Fulham for a medical this evening, according to reports on Sky Sports News.

The England international has been deemed surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane by Tottenham manager Andre Vilas-Boas and had been widely tipped to join his former boss Harry Redknapp at Queens Park Rangers after they agreed a £2m fee with Spurs. The Tottenham midfielder, 32, is understood to be keen to remain in the Premier League – as he hasn’t given up hope of regaining his England place with the World Cup in Brazil at the end of the season.

Parker has made 63 appearances for Spurs in two years since signing from West Ham for £5m in August 2011. Should Parker complete a move to Fulham, he will become Martin Jol’s second midfield signing of the summer after Derek Boateng joined on a free transfer from Dnipro.
