The Daily Express links Arsenal with a summer move for Fulham’s Clint Dempsey.
The American midfielder has scored nineteen goals in a terrific season for Fulham and Martin Jol has opened current negotiations with the 29 year-old, who has fifteen months to run on his current deal. The paper has valued the Texan, now an integral part of the Fulham side, at £10m and asserted – wrongly in my view – that Dempsey was a target for Arsene Wenger last summer.
It looks like it’ll be another one of those transfer windows where holding onto our key players will be a barometer of our success.
We should get more than a tenner for him……….
THIS IS BS. not up to arsenals standard. good player. found his level at fulham. ridiculous article.
I think you’re being very disrespectful there. He’s definitely better than Fulham. He’s better than Diaby, Benayoun, Rosicky (possibly), Chamakh, Bendtner, Denilson and in my opinion Ramsey who I feel is overrated.
Whether he’s good enough to start is questionable, none of those players are good enough to start for Arsenal except maybe Rosicky when on form and Diaby when on form.
