Reports from Italy claim that Fulham and QPR are among the clubs battling it out to sign the unsettled Juventus striker Amauri in Janaury.
The 31 year-old has been linked with a move to Fulham several times before and has slipped down the pecking order at Juventus, who currently lead Serie A. He spent last season on loan with Parma and scored seven times in eleven appearances as they finished the season strongly, but looks set to leave Juve in the transfer window after failing to secure first-team football under Antonio Conte.
Amauri’s agent Giampiero Pocetta revealed that, while there is interest in the former Chievo forward from clubs in Italy, the most concrete offers have come from overseas.
It is true that he could leave in January. We are working on it, and not only with clubs from Italy.
There is serious interest from foreign clubs, including some from England. We need to find a solution that’s good for the player and for the club.
