Andy Johnson says his Fulham team-mates must be wary of opponents Wisla Krakow and their potential for play-acting in Thursday’s Europa League tie at Craven Cottage.

The Fulham striker believes their opponents were complicit in Moussa Dembele’s sending off that turned the tide of the reverse fixture in Poland two weeks ago and feels his side will need to be extra careful to avoid any more controversy come Thursday. Johnson, who has himself previously been accused of going down too easily, was incensed by the reaction of Gervasio Nunez, who feigned a head injury after an innocuous clash with Dembele, and believes the Whites may need to be a little cute themselves.

I think we’ll have to approach the game at our place differently. There’s nothing we can do about the ref.

But I think you need to be careful. You need to be a bit wiser in Europe. That’s always been the case.

There’s a lot of diving, a lot of play-acting going on. We’ve just got to be clever. Maybe we need to do it a bit ourselves just to keep up with these teams and make things fair.
