It probably has more to do with the Juventus-Fiorentina rivalry but it’s still nice to see a massive ‘Complimenti a Fulham’ banner at their home game with Genoa this afternoon.

My Brother-in-law was in Florence on Thursday and said he was in a bar surrounded by Italians cheering Fulham on.

I am a massive Fiorentina fan and I wrote in the Fulham Juventus programme about my dual loyalty. . I was watching the stream of Fiorentina v Genoa last night on the Betfair site. During the game they showed the banner and I posted on the TFI site. I am trying to get the exact words.
As I wrote, Fiorentina loathe Juventus who are know as the Gobbi.This means hunchback . i have received many texts from my Italian friends hailing Fulham’s victory over the Gobbi.
At Anfield on Thursday when our result was announced there was spontaneous clapping .
The football world pays its respect to us.
As a Fiorentina fan also, this really has made my day! Soon heading to Italy for a couple of months soon, hoping to be able to watch a game at the Franchi.
