A brief statement on the Fulham website has just confirmed that Bobby Zamora dislocated his collarbone in last night’s defeat by Stoke.
There’s no mention of an expected recovery time. When Andy Johnson had a similar injury earlier this year, he was out for about two months. We’ll have to wait and see how his recovery plan develops.
Luckily it’s not broken.
Still a blow though. Wonder what Saturday’s forward line will be.
I’m thinking Dempsey & AJ. But, Dempsey always seems to do better up top, when he moves up late in a game. It’s weird, he seems to have poor performances when he starts up top. So maybe AJ & Nevland. But, that gives us no aerial presence.
I’d be happier with two up top than one. Be tempted to go with AJ and Nevland, with Dempsey replacing Gera in midfield.
