Sad night at Windsor Park as Northern Ireland have just been beaten by Slovakia by two goals to nil. The Green and White army were poor and just were not good enough to win this one. This means that it is extremly unlikely that Northern Ireland will qualify for South Africa as Slovenia have beaten Poland and Czech Republic have beaten San Marino. I have to admit that I’m gutted! Looking at our bench it doesn’t look that we have much coming through and some players will be thinking that four years is too far down the line for them.
But nomatter what, I am behind my country and will be watching the Czech Republic game in October which is just after my 17th birthday so maybe that will jinx it for us! Fingers crossed for October and all the best to England who have qualified already!
