Congratulations to Chris Smalling who made his England under-21 debut in Groningen last night.
The Fulham centre back won his first cap when he came off the bench to replace Everton’s Jack Rodwell just short of the hour mark in a fascinating tussle. Smalling played as part as England kept a lively Dutch side at bay and held on for a goalless draw.
