I found a link to an excellent piece on Major League Soccer Talk today whilst I was searching for good stuff to read. I’d trawled through two of the papers (the Times and the Independent because I couldn’t get my hands on a copy of the Guardian today) and was just killing a bit of time before the start of the game this afternoon when I came across a fascinating article on how black footballers made their mark during the era of disgraceful racism in the US. The fact that the anti-racism campaign Kick It Out are featuring it on their front page shows just how good it is. The stuff on Gillie Heron is excellent. Check it out if you have the time.
