Jimmy Bullard has sensationally revealed he threatened to go on strike in a bid to get his move away from Fulham.

The midfielder joined Hull for £5million last week after Fulham told the 30-year-old he wasn’t going to get the big-money deal he wanted.

And Bullard has hit out at Craven Cottage boss Roy Hodgson and the club’s board – claiming he threatened never to play for the club again unless they gave him a new deal.

“I had 16 months left on my contract, and I wasn’t willing to play with just 16 months left – I told them that, even though I was under contract,” Bullard told BBC’s Football Focus.
