Experienced American goalkeeper joined Fulham in August 2007 as cover for Antti Niemi. He ended up playing an unexpectedly pivotal role in the Great Escape under Roy Hodgson, starting the Whites’ ten fixtures as they completed the famous Great Escape on the final day at Portsmouth. Keller kept two crucial clean sheets in a row, first against relegation rivals Birmingham City in Fulham’s last home game of the season and then the following weekend at Fratton Park. He opted to return to America and sign for MLS expansion side Seattle Sounders upon the expiration of his short-term Fulham contract at the end of May 2008.
