Bjorn Runstrom hopes to win a regular starting role for Fulham, after making his debut for the club at Tottenham Hotspur.

The young striker moved to Craven Cottage from Swedish outfit Hammarby this summer.

He came on as a late substitute for Collins John in The Cottagers’ 0-0 draw with Spurs on Sunday, and that has fuelled his ambitions still further.

“It’s great to make my debut,” Runstrom told Expressen.

“I will now be fighting to earn a place in the starting XI.

“Tottenham were pushing forward tremendously, it was mostly a matter of going out and chasing to help the team out.”

The 22-year-old will now be hoping to get an even fuller chance to impress in the Carling Cup match against Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday.
