French side Nancy have confirmed their interest in signing Fulham striker Steve Marlet.

Marlet has spent the last two seasons on loan with Ligue 1 side Marseille, but l’OM do not seem keen on making the deal a permanent arrangement.

Chris Coleman does not see Marlet in his plans for the future and it now seems certain that he will leave Craven Cottage.

Newly-promoted Nancy are looking for added firepower for next season in the top-flight, and the Ligue 2 champions have targeted Marlet.

Club president Jacques Rousselot says that they have already contacted Marlet and, although he has other options, he has not dismissed the offer from Nancy.

“We are not his first priority, but the door does not seem closed on us,” Rousselot told the club’s official website.

Former Lyon man Marlet will now weigh up his options, but could settle on getting a regular start with Nancy.
