Fulham have joined the race to sign Watford striker Heidar Helguson and have offered around £1.25m for his services, according to the Mirror.

Sunderland and Wigan are believed to be the frontrunners, but Fulham hope to speak to the Iceland international today and Coleman believes his new coach Ray Lewington could swing the deal his way. Helguson worked with Lewington at Watford last season and has a good personal relationship with the forward.
