Mark Pembridge has signed a new one-year contract at Fulham, the club have confirmed this afternoon.

The veteran Welsh midfielder has made 27 appearances for Chris Coleman’s side this season and is likely to be the experienced option in the middle of the park next year with rumours circulating that popular midfielder Lee Clark is set to be released by the Londoners. Pembridge joined Fulham for around £500,000 in September 2003 after four years at Everton and after opening his account for the club against local rivals Chelsea, he has overcome injury problems to become a consistent performer in the centre of midfield.

Promising young defender Zesh Rehman has agreed terms on a two-year extension of his current contract, whilst midfielder Neale McDermott has signed a new one-year deal.
