Fulham are planning a £2million bid for Charlton’s Paul Konchesky.

Cottagers boss Chris Coleman has made the signing of a left-back his top summer priority and Konchesky, 24, would fancy the move.

He is second choice behind Hermann Hreidarsson for the left-back spot at The Valley and spent most of last season in a midfield role he dislikes.

Coleman tried to sign Manchester City left-back Ben Thatcher in January but the move collapsed over the Wales international’s wage demands.

Last season Carlos Bocanegra and Liam Rosenior played out of position at left-back for Fulham.
