Cardiff City cast further doubt on Fulham’s promotions credentials with a comprehensive 4-1 win at Craven Cottage this evening.

Fulham, with their first eleven hit by a series of injuries and suspensions, froze in front of the Sky television cameras as the Bluebirds seized control of this contest from the outset. They made light of firing blanks on their last four away trips and secured a half-time lead when Jason Fowler punished some sloppy home marking to open the scoring just before the half hour. The visitors made the perfect start to the second half when Steve White doubled the line within sixty seconds of the restart and Simon Haworth made sure of the three points six minutes later.

The Cottagers barely threatened despite an own goal from former Fulham midfielder Jeff Eckhardt and a miserable night for the Londoners was complete when White scored his second of the night five minutes from time.
