Covering Clint Dempsey
Just spotted a couple of Fulham-related pieces in preparation for Thursday’s Europa League quarter final.
The E:60 team are focusing, perhaps understandably, on Clint Dempsey. Here’s a piece introducing the Texan, first impressions of Motspur Park and some photos.
Stan Collymore at Fulham
The things you find on Twitter.
Stan Collymore’s stint at Fulham was rather short and sweet:

07-08-1999 | Football League Championship | Birmingham | 2-2 | Fulham | 0
10-08-1999 | English League Cup | Northampton | 1-2 | Fulham | 0
14-08-1999 | Football League Championship | Fulham | 0-0 | Man City | 0
21-08-1999 | Football League Championship | Grimsby | 1-1 | Fulham | 0
11-09-1999 | Football League Championship | Port Vale | 0-2 | Fulham | 0
14-09-1999 | English League Cup | Norwich | 0-4 | Fulham | 0
25-09-1999 | Football League Championship | Fulham | 3-0 | Crewe | 0
02-10-1999 | Football League Championship | Norwich | 1-2 | Fulham | 0
12-10-1999 | English League Cup | West Brom | 1-2 | Fulham | 1 |
He looked great in patches, particularly when he formed a really good partnership with Geoff Horsfield on the opening day of the season at Birmingham. I remember being quite sad that he didn’t sign for us on a permanent basis, but he saved the best ’til last with a sweet winner at West Brom (which he clearly enjoyed) in the League Cup.
