Le Marchand nearing Antwerp loan

Fulham defender Maxime Le Marchand is in talks with Belgian outfit Royal Antwerp about a possible loan move, according to reports from across Europe.

The 31 year-old, who can operate in central defence or at left back, has made just four appearances for Fulham this season and had been linked with a possible return to Nice earlier in the window. Le Marchand’s only start in the Premier League came in the narrow defeat by Wolves back in October.

The former Le Harve defender, who has 48 appearances since joining Fulham in the summer of 2018, was also reportedly interesting Bristol City, who have already taken Alfie Mawson and Steven Sessegnon on loan from Craven Cottage this season.
