Sky Sports News’ chief football correspondent Kaveh Solhekol has confirmed that Marco Silva is ‘totally happy and focused’ on Fulham – despite Saudi Arabian reports that Al Hilal wanted him to become their new boss in time for this summer’s Club World Cup.

Solhekol’s story this afternoon says that the Portuguese head coach is fully focused on guiding Fulham to as high as possible in the Premier League – with European qualification still not out as the question despite last week’s defeat at Aston Villa. Silva has rejected approaches from Al Ahli and Al Hilal, who are looking for a replacement for Jorge Jesus, in the past and is understood to be keen to continue in his Craven Cottage role beyond the summer of 2026.

The former Hull City, Watford and Everton head coach has been linked with any potential vacancy that may arise at Tottenham Hotspur, but he has previously given short shrift to approaches from Spurs and West Ham United. Fulham’s board believe that Silva will sign a new contract with the Whites and remains fully committed to the task of taking the Whites into Europe, having returned Fulham to the top flight within a season of being appointed as Scott Parker’s successor.
