Fulham full back Timothy Castagne will miss the final few weeks of the season after successfully undergoing ankle surgery earlier this week.
The Belgian international had played with tears in his ankle ligaments for the past four months after Marco Silva lost the services of Dutch right back Kenny Tete in December. Castagne posted a picture of his bandaged right foot on Instagram earlier this afternoon, with the following caption:
“Happy the surgery went well. I’ve struggled with tears in ankle for four months now. I’ve tried my best to continue but it was getting worse. Tough to leave the team and miss national team in such an important time. Looking forward to finally being myself next season!”
Although I prefer King Kenny, perhaps people will now regret moaning about Timothy. Playing premiership with such an injury…now I know that..he’s been tremendous this season.
Completely agree Roger and I’ve moaned about him and asked why he has been much worse than last season. Now we know.
Never moaned about him all ways gives his best. And would like to thank him for fighting on with the injury, all the very best for a full successful recovery
Wish him a speedy and successful recovery.
That explains a lot BUT how insane is it that the club played BOTH fullbacks knowing they were carrying long term injuries?
In fact it is verging on criminal.
Especially when both were so obviously struggling.
With the size of our squad, Marco Silva could not slot someone into the right back role?
So we don’t have a decent right back in the Under 21s either???
