Fulham are chasing a late deal for the AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze, according to reports from Italy but finalising the proposed loan move is likely to go right down to the wire.
The 25 year-old Nigerian international has struggled for game time at the San Siro this season, often losing out to the likes of Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah. Milan’s move for the Chelsea attacking midfielder Joao Felix means that the former Villarreal star will struggle for first-team minutes under Sérgio Conceição for the remainder of the season.
Chukwueze has scored seven goals in 57 games since moving from Villarreal for £22.5m in July 2023. The speedy winger, who won the UEFA Europa League with the Yellow Submarine in 2021, helped the Super Eagles reach the final of the 2023 African Cup of Nations in 2023 alongside Fulham’s Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi.
The Whites are seeking cover on the winger after Welsh international Harry Wilson fractured his foot in the defeat by Manchester United last month.
