Fulham are lining up a loan move for Roma winger Matias Soule, according to reports from Italy this evening.

Gianluca di Marzio links the Londoners with a strong interest in the versatile Argentinian forward, who has attracted interest from across the continent this month. Soule, a talented right-footed left winger who can also operate on the right flank, as a number ten or as a striker, has scored once in 20 appearances for the Giallorossi since making a permanent move from Juventus last July.

The Argentinian under-20 international came through the famed Velez youth set-up before finishing his development at Juventus. Soule made his senior debut in the Champions’ League coming on for the final fifteen minutes against Maccabi Haifa in October 2022. He made his Serie A debut two weeks later and gained more top flight experience on loan with Frosinone the following year, where his eleven goals in 39 appearances earned him a permanent move to Roma. His exploits in the top tier of Italian football also led to Luciano Spaletti considering calling him up to the senior Italian squad as he has Italian citizenship.

Roma have not yet made a final decision on Soule’s availability – but, according to Di Marzio, the Whites have already indicated their willingness to pay a substantial loan fee.
