Croydon-born Emile Smith Rowe admitted he was ‘buzzing‘ after scoring the opening goal in Fulham’s 2-0 win at Crystal Palace this afternoon.

The England international, who was born in Thornton Heath, told FFCTV that he was delighted to make his mark at Selhurst Park:

I’m buzzing. It’s good to come back. I haven’t been here in a while, so I’m just happy to be back and score. I’m really happy [with how things have gone this week]. To win two London derbies in a row is a really good feeling, so I’m buzzing.”

Fulham’s record signing was pleased with how clinical the Whites were in taking the lead and pressing the Palace rearguard assertively.

“Obviously, we try to work on our pressing from the front in training and stuff, so it’s good to see it come off today. It was a good assist from Raul, so I’m happy.”
