Kevin Mbabu is poised to leave Fulham and sign for Danish side Midtjylland, according to reports from his native Switzerland.

The right back has made just six first-team appearances in two years at Craven Cottage and has spent time on loan at Servette and Augbsurg over the past two seasons. The 28 year-old has been told he can leave Fulham with the Whites well stocked at right back in the shape of Kenny Tete and Timothy Castagne and the Premier League side could even allow the former Newcastle defender to leave on a free transfer.

Mbabu has a year to run on his current Fulham contract. A deal to take him to Denmark could be concluded after Midtylland’s crunch Champions’ League qualifier against Slovan Bratislava, which is finely balanced at 1-1, this evening.
