Fulham goalkeeper George Wickens is in talks with Lincoln City over a permanent move to Sincil Bank, according to Football Insider.

The 22 year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Ross County, has been given the green light to seek first team football away from Craven Cottage. It will be a wrench for the lifelong Fulham fan to leave his boyhood club, where he has been highly rated since impressing as a seventeen year-old scholar.

Wickens has had to go on loan to get a taste of senior football – starring in a superb spell with Wealdstone, before making nineteen appearances for County as the Staggies saved their SPL status last season. The 6ft 5in custodian has attracted interest from a number of EFL sides, with League One Lincoln looking to add competition for Sam Long and Jamie Pardington as Michael Skubula plots a promotion push.
