Alex Iwobi admits he can’t wait to get the new campaign underway with Fulham in a wide-ranging interview with the Evening Standard.
The Nigerian international believes Fulham can improve on their performances towards the end of last season. He said:
I can’t wait to get the new season kicked off again. With Fulham, we had a bit of an inconsistent season, but we know how good we are. When we were talking at the end of the season, we were thinking, we see the quality in the room, let’s try and push up the table. Everyone is eager and ready to go.”
Standard footballer’s quote. Everyone is keen to get going except of course Tosin, Willian. Palhinia, Bobby Dec and Pereirra. Apart from that we’re all ready to go.
Well said Dave. Silva must be pulling his hair out. The squad we ended last season with, undermined, no new signings for Marco to work with in pre season. Are
we really a professional Premiership side, or just a side waiting around to be relegated back to the Championship?
Patience John – a really stupid question. Think of the fab signings we’ve made over the last few seasons. Why rock the boat with I’ll advised negative comments. COYW!!
Does anyone think TK is a good businessman ?
He’s sold Joao for well under his value. Seems unable to get a deal over the line. Andre, Richard Rios, Scott McTominay, Smith-Rowe, Mengi. and others.
By the time he puts his hand in his pocket, Marco will have no time to make a competative team out of them.
I’m not looking forward to the new season. The way this window is going we won’t have a team to put on the park
Just hope you’ve got someone to play with Alex! Agree with previous posters the ‘ negotiation’ abilities of TK leave a lot to be desired. Presumably players can’t fail to note his penny pinching approach. Christ it’s difficult enough to compete with larger clubs without creating your own obstacles.
History: If another club is interested, we will not attract the player.
He didn’t seem interested enough to even know the market sold Palhinha on cheap. Now players not as good he goes in for costing just as much. I have always backed the Khans who have done best for club, but the transfer market getting harder and harder what with agents etc. we need a full time football man now we’re in premiership or we won’t last long
