Fulham are set to submit improved offers for Arsenal winger Emile Smith Rowe and Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, according to Sky Sports News.

The Whites failed with a first offer that was worth around £30m for England international Smith Rowe eight days ago but are looking to strike a deal with the Gunners to offer the 23 year-old regular first-team football. The Cottagers are hopeful that they can negotiate Arsenal’s valuation downwards or put a package together in the manner that they managed with Bernd Leno two summers ago to secure Marco Silva’s top summer target. Smith Rowe, who has joined Arsenal’s pre-season tour of America, has also been the subject of an offer from Crystal Palace – and Fulham will have to battle their London rivals to seal the deal.

Sky Sports News senior reporter Dharmesh Sheth also suggests that Manchester United are awaiting a second bid for Scott McTominay. Fulham’s initial offer of £17m was rejected, with United valuing the Scottish international skipper at around £40m. McTominay has a year left on his current contract, with the Red Devils holding an option for a year’s extension, and, although Erik ten Haag has spoken of his desire to hold onto the 27 year-old, United’s ownership have made clear that most first-team players are available for transfer at the right price.
