Fulham are mulling an audacious summer move for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, according to various reports this morning.

United are open to selling the Scottish international as he enters the final twelve months of his current Old Trafford contract – but have made clear to Fulham that a cut-price deal will not be considered. Fulham head coach Marco Silva is looking to bolster his midfield options with players who have experience of continental football, but McTominay’s current employers are said to value the 27 year-old at around £40m.

McTominay, who has made 252 first-team appearances over eight seasons in United’s first-team set-up, has won 52 caps for his country – scoring nine goals at senior level – and was a key part of Steve Clarke’s side that qualified for the last two European Championship finals.
