Reports from Brazil claim that Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira is entertaining interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Aston Villa – but discussions with Kia Joorabchian will take place after this summer’s Copa America.
Brazilian outlets UOL and Globo Esporte claim that the attacking midfielder promised Marco Silva that he would stay with the Whites for two seasons – with the Whites rejecting repeated offers from Aletico Madrid and Saudi Pro League side Al-Etifaq. Globo Esporte says that Pereira and Fulham are ready to ‘listen to the market’ and that the prospect of the 28 year-old spending another campaign at Craven Cottage is ‘unlikely’.
Pereira’s priority is to play in the Champions’ League, which would make Villa the favourites should any race materialise, but Fulham will demand a significant fee as he has two years remaining on his current contract.
Would personally be sorry to see him go and feel that he is playing at the right level at Fulham. Not sure he is quite good enough for the Champions League but what do I know?!
Would definitely need a suitable replacement and to that end should be asking for a substantial transfer fee.
I kind of feel that we won’t miss him. He has been okay without being special. Nothing much wrong but very low key. Also lacking physical presence and just about anyone else will be harder to knock off the ball. Will be interesting to see who we get to replace him.
Not too worried about him going, except that it’s yet another replacement we need to find.
To be honest, if it was not that we are lacking in numbers in his position and the fact that he is quite good at set pieces, Pereira would not made the first 11 at Fulham for a number of games. His performances were mostly acceptable, but apart from a couple of matches, he would be the natural choice to take off at the 60th minute. This says a lot about Periera and his chances at bigger clubs. If he is smart he should stay put and see out his contract, try to improve and focus solely on playing football rather than stoking fires about transfers and the “need” to play in the Champions League. He could well end up warming the bench for much of the season in a bigger club who does not have any issues with quality in numbers.
Lets cash in for a change.Get someone younger, fitter ,stronger and wants to make a name for himself.
Young Tony K needs to be working hard at this rate and that will be a change for him,get off the potty Tony and get recruiting 5 quality players early to help Marco.

Never been impressed by him. The odd show but never seems fully seized with the game.
