Rodrigo Muniz insists much of the credit for his remarkable renaissance in a Fulham shirt should go to his Brazilian compatriots Willian and Andreas Pereira.

The former Flamengo forward, who won the Premier League player of the month award for March, told Globo Esporte of his admiration for Willian, who continues to shine despite reaching relative veteran status at 35.

“Willian I can say is the best player I’ve ever played with.”

He also praises Pereira, whose double secured an away win at West Ham last weekend, for offering sage advice as he learned how to make an impact in the top flight.

“Andreas has helped me a lot at the end of my adaptation. He talks to me a lot and gives me feedback that makes a lot of difference to me. I think the fact that they’re Brazilian and have bought into the idea of me playing: ‘Hey, I’m going to help you and that’s it’, is making a total difference for me on the pitch.”
