Andreas Pereira says Fulham head into Sunday’s clash with title-chasing Liverpool full of confidence after winning at West Ham last wekeend.

The Brazilian international’s brace ended a 21-year wait for a league win at the Hammers and Pereira told Fulham’s official website that beating Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur has increased belief amongst Marco Silva’s side that the Whites should be aiming for the European places next term.

“[The West Ham] win gave us a boost. We’ve shown that we can beat the big teams and the teams that are fighting for European spots. We showed it in the last game – West Ham are playing in the Europa League, so we showed that we can play against these teams, we have the level to compete, so I think we have to aim to get in those European spots.”

Pereira feels Fulham can take confidence from the way they have pushed Liverpool close on so many occasions already this season.

“We’re confident now. We know they’re fighting for the title, so we know they have a little bit of pressure. Apart from us, not many teams scored so many goals against Liverpool this season, so I think we know how to play against them. We have to respect they have a lot of quality, but I think we can get a good result on Sunday.”
